Hey there, I'm Matt.

I got started in this business when I was still a teenager, in a surf shop that also had a small bike section. It was the surfing that brought me in, but the bikes that kept me there. But, before that, I started tinkering with bikes in my family's garage in Florida, trying to learn what I could, and eventually even cutting off the tip of my finger in an old fixie.

Throughout the years, I have worked and played in the bike world in many capacities. Employee, manager, business owner. Beach Cruiser, Mountain Biker, and Daily Commuter. It's the freedom, sustainability, and exploration behind bikes that keeps me in the saddle. A bike gets to be, in a way, an extension of you. Yes, it gets you from one place to another, but in a way where you get to fully experience the surroundings with all of your senses.

If I wasn't doing this as my job, you can bet I would still be in a garage somewhere tinkering with bikes, as I have been for over a decade. It's just more fun when its shared.
