Our Mission:
To Keep the freedom and utility of cycling open to all people regardless of income or stage of life.
How it Works?
For the Community/By the Community. Folks can donate bikes, parts or time depending on what they have available to them.
Bike Donation: When a bike gets donated it gets a full tune up, worn parts replaced with quailty used or new parts and is ready for a new life.
Parts: Donated parts are set aside for fixing a donated bike or selling on Ebay to fund the purchase of new parts/labor for the bikes.
Time: Your time and knowledge are some of the most valuable tools you can donate. Whether you know how to fully rebuild a bike or simply want to just come do what you can to improve the donated bikes, we would love your help. We will have a dedicated repair stand and tooling for the program for those wanting to donate their time.
Who Gets a Bike?
Anyone in need of a bike. This is gonna be an honor system, if you truly feel like you cant afford a bike or know someone who needs one send them our way. We want all people to have access to bikes. We arent taking applications, you dont have to meet a certain criteria, we want you to have a bike for whatever your needs may be. With that being said, we wont have a hold list or be able to guaruntee you get a bike, it will be a first come first serve basis. Sometimes we might have multiple bikes and sizes available, sometimes we might have none. We just want to keep this simple and effective. More donated bikes and time, means more folks get free bikes. One Bike per Person per Year.
Warranty
All Free Bikes come with a free 8 week break in period. This includes all adjustments and or part replacement for the first 8 weeks. Does not include neglect or misuse of the bike.
